Abstract:	Namen diplomskega dela je oblikovanje vzorcev za tisk na tekstil za oblačila in sicer za določeno izbrano ciljno skupino. V skladu z zahtevami ter željami izbrane ciljne skupine, katere mnenja smo pridobili s pomočjo ankete, smo oblikovali nabor najprimernejših barvnih tonov za uporabo pri oblikovanju vzorcev. Likovno izrazne prvine vzorca, njegovih oblik, barv ter drugih likovnih elementih smo raziskali v uvodnem teoretičnem poglavju o osnovah likovnega oblikovanja ter prvinah vizualnih komunikacij. Oblačilo kot kompleksno vizualno komunikacijsko strukturo smo v teoretičnem poglavju obravnavali v smislu oblačilnega sloga ter vloge barvnosti oblačila pri tem. Na podlagi raziskav izvedenih v uvodnem teoretičnem delu smo izvedli praktični del diplome, ki sestoji iz raziskave na terenu ter aplikaciji spoznanj ter zaključkov v praktično delo oblikovalca. V tem delu diplome smo prikazali in izvedli kreativni postopek oblikovanja serije vzorcev za tekstilni tisk s kreativno metodo abstrakcije ter stilizacije motivov vzetih iz narave. V ta proces smo vključili spoznanja iz teoretičnega in raziskovalnega dela diplomske naloge.

Title:	DESIGN AND PLANNING OF ART AND COMMUNICATIONAL FUNCTION OF TEXTILE DESIGN
Abstract:	The intention of this thesis is the design of patterns for printing on clothes for a specific, chosen target group. According to wishes and demands of the chosen target group, the opinion of which we acquired with the help of a questionnaire, we designed a collection of the most suitable colour tones to be used in the pattern design. We explored the artistically expressive elements of the pattern, its forms, colours and other artistic elements in the introductory theoretical chapter about the basics of art design and the elements of visual communication. In the theoretical chapter we discussed clothing as a complex visual communicative structure in the sense of the clothing style and the role that the clothing colour plays in it. On the basis of the research made in the introductory theoretical part we carried out the practical part of the thesis which consists of research made in the field, and the application of the knowledge and conclusions into the practical work of the designer. In this part of the thesis we showed and realized the creative process of designing a series of patterns for textile printing with the creative method of abstraction and stylization of motives taken from nature. Into this process the knowledge gained in the theoretical and the research part of the thesis was included.
