Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava parametrično analizo pasovnega temelja mostnega opornika za drenirane in nedrenirane pogoje temeljnih tal.

Title:Parametric analysis of the strip footing of a bridge abutment
Abstract:This thesis presents a parametric analysis of a strip foundation for a bridge abutment under drained and undrained soil conditions. The introductory part outlines the theoretical basis of shallow foundation design, together with the equations for determining the bearing capacity of the foundation soil, separately for drained and undrained conditions. Based on these equations, a parametric analysis was carried out in which, for the drained condition, the bridge span, the angle of internal friction, and the cohesion were varied, resulting in 125 combinations, while for the undrained condition, the bridge span and the undrained shear strength were varied, resulting in 25 combinations. For each combination, the required foundation width was calculated, and it was checked whether the governing condition was the bearing capacity of the foundation soil, sliding, or the eccentricity of the load. The results are presented in tables and supplemented with a sensitivity analysis in the form of graphs, showing how individual input parameters affect the design load and the utilization of the foundation's bearing capacity. Finally, the key findings for both conditions are summarized in the conclusion.
