Abstract:Diplomsko delo predstavlja vlogo medicinske sestre v Zdravstvenem centru Evropskega parlamenta v Bruslju. Metodologija in metode dela.
Keywords:Zdravstveni center Evropskega parlamenta, medicinska sestra, letni sistematični pregled, aktivnosti zdravstvene nege, komunikacija, večjezičnost.

Title:THE ROLE OF MEDICAL NURSE IN MEDICAL SERVICE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
Abstract:This diploma work represents the role of nurses in the European Parliament Medical Service in Brussels. There is a Medical Service as a whole and the work of nurses, specifics of its working environment, such as the multilingual working environment, changing working environment for each month because of plenary sessions in Strasbourg, annual systematic check-ups of employees, the procedure for emergency action. Represented is the problem of congestion of nurses because of the patient as a result of the last two European Union enlargements, and also a significant number of employees in the European Parliament. Methodology and methodological approach. The survey was based on the quantitative methodology where we used semi structural survey questionnaire, designed for nurses who work at the Medical service of the European parliament open questions. We studied primary sources of literature (internal documentation). In a research we also used a method of audio recording of the annual medical chek-up of a patient, in the part of nursing process. The results of the research. In research we found out that nurses are coming from different countries and they have to cope with at least two working languages - French and English. Surveys and interviews also shows that they are estimated to be under greater stress due to the increased number of patients. Consequently, therefore, they have less time for individual medical-education communication, therefore most of the medical educational is presented via informations on Intranet sites of Medical Service, wich are internal internet sites, avaliable only to the employees in the European Parliament.
Keywords:European Parliament Medical Service, nurse, systematic annual chek-up, activities of health care, communication, mulilinguality.
