Abstract:Delo centrov za socialno delo je zelo občutljivo področje, saj strokovnjaki nosijo veliko moralno odgovornost, predvsem ko gre za specifične odločitve, kot so odvzem otrok, rejništvo, posvojitve otrok, določitev skrbništva, skrb za ostarele in onemogle, ipd. Rezultati regresijske analize so pokazali, da na varianco uspešnosti timskega dela najbolj vplivajo znanje in osebna prilagodljivost.

Title:The Connections Between Individual and Organizational Factors of Team Work at Social Work Centres
Abstract:The work performed by the Social Work Centres is one of a very sensitive nature, as the experts are faced with great moral responsibility, especially where specific decisions, such as the annulment of parental rights, foster placement, adoption, guardianship, taking care of the elderly and the disabled etc., are concerned. It is important that all members of the team should participate equally and actively in the process of communication, as successful and honest communication is the key to productive cooperation. A suitable level of trust represents an indispensable and thus essential value for cooperation. In this Master’s Thesis we have examined the connections between individual and organizational factors of team work based on a sample of 279 respondents, all employees of Social Work Centres in the Republic of Slovenia. The results of the research show that the level of success of team work is not related to the level of education acquired by team members. There is, however, a positive connection between the level of success of team work and personal adaptability of employees, cooperation with external experts and the possibility of expressing one’s own interests and initiatives, as well as knowledge pooling within the team. Statistically relevant differences appeared in relation to knowledge of team members and the number of children of these same members. Results of the regression analysis have shown that knowledge and personal adaptability are what influences the success variance of team work the most.
