S pomocjo anketnega vprašalnika bomo skušali ugotoviti, katere so tiste motivacijske metode, ki jih v podjetju uporabljajo, s cim skušajo motivirati zaposlene, s tem povecati njihovo delovno zagnanost in posledicno kakovost opravljenega dela.

Title:MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES IN MERCATOR - RETAIL TRADE
Abstract:In this diploma, we will try to illustrate the motivation in one of the biggest commercial chains in our country, Mercator, where we will focus on motivation of employees in retail trade, which presents the biggest part of employees in that particular company. Through the survey questionnaire, we will try to figure out, what are those motivational methods, that that company is using, what features are being used for motivation of employees, to increase their working enthusiasm and their work, consequently. The survey led us to the following conclusions: The commercial branch is still dominated by female employees. The proportion of employes, who are being permanently hired, is on a satisfactory level – more than 80% is such. More than a half od respondents has been working at the same workplace for more than 5 years, which is reflecting the need to examine options and eligibility of progression of these. More than a half of respondents is giving the same significance to material and intangible form of motivation. The major part of respondents thinks, that the change of the working environment has a positive impact on motivation for the work. That tells us a lot about the saturation of certain kind of work and urgent need for replacement of the working environment after a certian period of time. The differences in the valuation of the work within the working team do exist, but the major part of respondents thinks, that their job within the team is being equally evaluated as the work of their co-workers. The salary remains the most important motivating factor among employees in retail – trade, where regular monthly payment is regarded as a fact, that is natural and is being expected, irrespecitve of the success of work.
