Title:Quality Retirement Factors
Abstract:In Slovenia, as in other European countries, the society is facing the retirement process of the largest generation – the post-Second World War generation. This process is essential for society from an economic and sociological point of view. In the present situation, this generation is facing different issues and obstacles connected with finishing the active part of their life and, as smoothly as possible, stepping into the new era of their lives. Therefore I have decided to take up this issue and to study the process of retirement from the point of view of the relation between the individual and his working organization, where the individual has spent most of his active professional life. Questions that were raised during my study of the theme and are dealt with in this paper are grouped into two parts:  people who are close to fulfilling the retirement conditions - are they ready for retirement and leaving their working organization and ready for this major change in their lives, or do they not worry too much at the time and consequently experience a sock afterwards and  people who have already claimed a pension for a few years - are they happy and satisfied, are they taking this new part of life as something new to explore and doing things for which they did not have time before or, on the other hand, is retirement maybe just the last part of their life and a time of big psychological depression. On the other side, there is also the system approach of pension insurance that needs to be reconsidered, as all European states are facing the problem of economic and demographic crisis at this time. Besides the economic point, all European systems are trying to encourage elderly people to contribute more to society in order to make the intergenerational transfer as effective as possible.
