Abstract:V diplomskem delu je prikazan izvor pozvačinske šege in njeno besedje.

Title:THE WEDDING CUSTOM AND THE ROLE OF THE »POZVAČIN« IN ŽIŽKI AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
Abstract:In this diploma thesis the origin of the »pozvačin« custom and its traditional vocabulary is described. The »pozvačin« custom is most typical and still preserved in the Prekmurje region in the part Dolinsko, which covers the south-eastern part of that region in the township of Črenšovci and its surroundings. The »pozvačin« in that region is known as the invitor, a person, inviting to a wedding, dressed in a special costume and while inviting saying a defined text whose first written record was found in 1807 in the work »Starišinstvo i zvačinstvo«. The custom is well-preserved in the village Žižki, therefore we resumed the characteristics of the speech. We especially focused on the varieties of the »pozvačin« invitations as well as on separate primary elements of the costume of the »pozvačin«. We were trying to find out where defined primary elements originated from and if they are still in use today or have been abandoned. We wrote down the speeches we acquired from »pozvačini« - invitors in phonetic transcription. We compared the »pozvačin« speeches of separate villages with the original invitation from 1807 and were trying to find out which invitation from the present days preserved most of the primary elements of the original invitation. The traditional vocabulary is collected in a dictionary at the end of this diploma thesis, where the word is written down, its meaning, its usage in a sentence and the origin of the word.
