Abstract:V letu 2009 smo v Univerzitetnem centru za vinogradništvo in vinarstvo Meranovo pri sorti 'Laški rizling' proučevali vpliv nadmorske višine (zgornji in spodnji del vinograda) na količino in kakovost pridelka.

Title:Effect of altitude on the development, yield and quality of 'Welschriesling'
Abstract:We studied the effect of altitude (upper and lower part of the vineyard) on the development, yield and quality of' 'Welschriesling' in the University Centre for Viniculture and enology Meranovo in 2009. We researched the effect of altitude on phenological phases, air, grapes and leaves temperature and on the dynamics of grape ripening. We did chemical analysis of wine and sensory wine evaluation. On the upper part of the vineyard the dynamic of phenological phases was faster for three days. We found out that in our experiment altitude affected only the grape temperature, which was 1,3 °C higher on the upper part of the vineyard. When we looked at the dynamic of grape maturing we established higher contents of sugar and less of total acidity. On the lower part of the vineyard the same value was reached four days later. Yield was bigger on the lower part of the vineyard. At sensory wine evaluation the wine from upper part of vineyard got better grades.
