Zato smo v drugem, empiričnem delu, poskušali odkriti pravo naravo njihovih odnosov in predvsem ugotoviti, kakšno vlogo ima sporočilo PR v novinarskem prispevku. S pomočjo vprašalnika oziroma kratkega intervjuja smo povprašali deset predstavnikov za odnose z javnostmi in deset novinarjev za mnenje o delu drug drugega.

Title:ROLE OF THE PR IN THE MODERN JOURNALISM
Abstract:The diploma is divided into two parts, namely the rounded theoretical part, where are introduced all the definitions of public relations and functioning of public relations, journalism, media relations and the relationship between journalists and representatives of public relations. In this section we'll discuss primarily about the history and development of public relations, journalism and the public themselves. We will show that many theorists believe that relations between journalists and representatives of public relations are being strained, mainly because of ignorance or indifference to each other's work. We will also look at detailed models of communication which we can find in the field of public relations. Nowadays, journalists and representatives of public relations can not function properly without each other. Their aliance has positive effects on both sides. The representatives of public relations supply journalists with free information, and the journalists present their messages to a wider public in the media. Therefore, in the second, empirical part, we attempt to discover the true nature of their relations and in particular to determine what role the PR message in a Press article has. Through a questionnaire and short interview we asked about ten representatives of public relations and ten journalists to comment on the work of each other.
