Izbrani so bili skupni cilji obeh šolskih predmetov. Dijakom so aktivni pristopi k pouku, kjer so spodbujeni k odkrivanju, preizkušanju, eksperimentiranju in spoznavanju novih stvari, všeč in jih v prihodnje želijo še več.

Title:BIOLOGY AND GEOGRAPHY'S INTER - DISCIPLINARY CONNECTION AND ACTIVE WORK METHODS
Abstract:In recent times (in Slovenia as well) there is an increase of researches and studies focused on inter-disciplinary connections and active work methods. With this method of teaching we increase schooling quality, level of knowledge and students gain new competences and chances for useful knowledge. The latter guided us to compare Slovene syllabus for biology and geography in secondary schools. Joint goals of both school subjects were selected and exercises, examples and handouts with instructions were made for teachers and students. This thesis presents examples of fieldwork, project work and experiments which connect goals from biology and geography’s syllabus. Students like active work methods where they are encouraged to discover, test, experiment and learn new things. They would like more of them in the future. Examples from this thesis could thus be used to encourage a connection between other subject areas and help in planning classes and activities in schools.
