Abstract:V sodobnem svetu sta motivacija in zadovoljstvo zaposlenih ena najpomembnejših in najzahtevnejših nalog managementa.

Title:EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION IN THE CATERING INDUSTRY
Abstract:In the modern world, motivation and employee satisfaction are one of the most important and demanding tasks of management. Catering is no exception. The goal of research was to explore and rank motivational factors that affect employee satisfaction in the hospitality industry, to find the problems and perpetrators of such difficulties. The survey was implemented to find out which are the motivating factors that motivate employees. Also how valued they feel, have employes developed resistance to work, and whether there are differences between groups of employees (older – younger, men - women ...) on motivational factors. The survey found that the problem of recruitment and motivation of employees in the hospitality industry is complex and there is no factor that could be singled out as the »culprit« for resentment and consequent deficiency of occupations in the hospitality industry. Employees are mostly dissatisfied with pay, working time and reputation enjoyed by professions in the hospitality industry. We have to mention that the employees in the hospitality are satisfied with the work they do. We found out that it will have to be provided for enhanced image, better information, presentation of occupations in the hospitality industry, and ultimately provide for financial stimulation of the catering workers, which, as we made sure, looks ready to perform challenging work.
