Abstract:Motivirani zaposleni so ena najbolj zahtevnih, kompleksnih ter pomembnih nalog vodstvenega kadra vsake organizacije. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili teoretične osnove motivacije in teorijo reševanja konfliktov – mediacijo.

Title:WORK MOTIVATION OF MEDICAL CARE STAFF IN THE HOME FOR THE AGED POLZELA
Abstract:Motivated employees are one the most demanding, complex and important tasks of the management in each organisation. Motivation for work is becoming a measure of business performance. Social care centres (including the Old people´s Home Polzela) often face this problem, since their personnel is constantly in contact with the residents of the Home (old people who need help) and there is no doubt that an adequately motivated employee is capable of providing more compassionate and morally acceptable care of such persons. The degree thesis discusses the motivation for work of the healthcare personnel in the Old People’s Home Polzela. In the theoretical part we presented the theoretic bases of motivation and the theory of resolving conflicts – mediation. It goes on to present the Old People’s Home Polzela and its current state in the field of motivation for work and mediation. In the research part, a survey was conducted to study 11 motivational factors at all five positions of the healthcare personnel working in the Old People’s Home, with several questions for each factor. The survey helped us establish the conditions they work in, the training they are provided, the level of independence and creativeness in their work, the safety of employment and work, its complexity, salary, mutual relationships between the employees and relationship with their superior, and the approach used by the institute in resolving conflicts between employees. Based on the survey results, the initial hypotheses were either confirmed or rejected.
Keywords:motivation, motivational factors, mediation, satisfaction, mutual relationships.
