Title:THE INFLUENCE OF PLANNED AND GUIDED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ON COORDINATION DEVELOPMENT WITH THREE- TO FOUR-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN
Abstract:Diploma thesis entitled The influence of planned and guided physical activities on coordination development with three- to four-year-old children consists of theoretical grounds and empirical research. Theoretical part presents physical dimensions of three- to four-year-old children, children’s motor abilities and motor knowledge, focusing on their age. Coordination of movement, its development, importance and factors that influence the development of coordination, are presented in details. The diploma thesis presents planning of preschool physical activities, environment which is rich in motor experiences and educator's competencies in the field of movement. Empirical part presents results of pedagogical experiment which included children in the experimental group who participated in additional physical/sport activities which developed motor coordination, and children in the control group who did not participate in those activities. The results show us that three- to four-year-old children who were part of additional planned and guided physical/sport activities developing motor coordination, during the pedagogical experiment, achieved better final results in motor abilities, than children who did not participate in additional physical/sport activities with the emphasis on developing motor abilities.
