Abstract:Teoretično izhodišče. V magistrskem delu smo predstavili komunikacijo in medosebne odnose v timu zdravstvene nege. Kljub težavam, s katerimi se spopada današnje zdravstvo, so zaposleni še vedno zadovoljni s komunikacijo in z medosebnimi odnosi v njihovi delovni organizaciji.

Title:Theory of caring and communication in the nursing team
Abstract:Theoretical starting point. In the diploma thesis, we are presenting the communication and interpersonal relations in the health care team. We are also describing Kristen M. Swanson's theory of caring and its impact on employee relations. Methodology. For the research the quantitative methodology was used. Data were collected on the basis of a partly structured questionnaire. The study included 80 members of the nursing team, which took place in two health centres. The survey results were processed using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Word 2010, Microsoft Office Excel 2010 and PASW Statistics 18th. Results of the research. The research results showed that the respondents (51 %) are satisfied with the communication and interpersonal relations in their working place. 65 % of the respondents believe that poor communication among nursing team members is the main cause of unsuccessful teamwork. The results also showed that misunderstandings more often occur among nurses and male nurses/junior nurses, than just among nurses. We also found that nurses give instructions or teach other nursing staff in the team more often than male nurses/junior nurses (p = 0,006). For quality health care, care is essential. Along with trust and communication, it forms a positive attitude in the nursing team. Conclusion. The research shows that communication is essential for effective teamwork and quality as it affects both the individual and the interpersonal relations with other employees. Despite the difficulties faced by today's health care, employees are still satisfied with the communication and interpersonal relations in their work organization. Employees are also aware that care is the central element of health care, which affects both communication and the relationship.
