V diplomskem delu z naslovom Medpredmetno povezovanje bioloških in geografskih vsebin s pomočjo računalniško podprtega laboratorijskega dela obravnavamo načrtovanje medpredmetnih povezav na primeru biologije in geografije. Oblikovani in izvedeni so bili sledeči eksperimenti: 1. Zmrzovanje slane in sladke vode, 2. Vpliv hitrosti vodnega toka in temperature vode na količino raztopljenega kisika v vodi, 3. Vpliv pH vode na aktivnost mikroorganizmov, 4. Dušikove spojine, 5. Fotosinteza in dihanje rastlin, 6. Transpiracija rastlin, 7. Nastanek letnih časov, 8. Nastanek toplotnih pasov na Zemlji, 9. Razlike v količini CO2 med mestom in podeželjem, 10. Segrevanje kopnega in morij.

Title:Cross-curricular integration of biological and geographic content through a computerized laboratory work
Abstract:The aim of cross-curricular integration is to integrate different disciplines. The cross-curricular integration is one of the newest teaching approaches in both primary and secondary school. With this approach learners become aware of different aspects and learn to look at the topics discussed from a holistic point of view. In the diploma thesis – Cross-curricular integration of biology and geography by computer-based laboratory work – we discuss the planning of cross-curricular teaching in the case of biology and geography. The cross-curricular integration in general is presented in greater detail in the theoretical part. The notion of cross-curricular integration, its meaning, advantages, opportunities and disadvantages, as well as its position in the current biology and geography curriculum are discussed as well. The empirical part is based on the comparison of the current curriculum objectives for biology and geography. The common points between the two are the basis for the formation of ten computer-based laboratory experiments which represent the proposition for involving cross-curriculum integration into the curriculum. The following experiments were formed and executed: 1. Water properties 2. The influence of velocity and water temperature on the amount of water-dissolved oxygen 3. The influence of the pH of water on the activity of microorganisms 4. Nitrogen compounds 5. Photosynthesis and respiration in plants 6. Plant transpiration 7. The formation of seasons 8. The formation of the thermal zones 9. Differences in the amount of CO2 between the city and the country 10. Land and sea warming
