Prav zaradi tega smo v diplomskem delu ţeleli raziskati terensko delo v CŠOD in ugotoviti, kako vpliva na razvoj naravoslovnih kompetenc. Raziskavo smo opravili v maju in juniju 2011 v štirih domovih CŠOD in sicer: dom Čebelica (Čateţ), dom Lipa (Črmošnjice), dom Medved (Medvedje Brdo) in dom Jurček (Kočevje).

Title:The importance of field work in CEAC for development of natural sciences competences
Abstract:Curricular and Extracurricular Activities Centre (CEAC) is an institution which provides active learning outside of a classroom by organising out-of-school classes. By doing field work pupils gain knowledge through their own experiences and form positive attitude towards living beings and nature. This way, the pupils gain competences that are of great importance for their future learning and work – this thesis therefore aims to research the field work of CEAC and establish the influence on the development of natural sciences competences. The research took place in May and June of 2011 in 4 CEAC units – Čebelica unit (Čateţ), Lipa unit (Črmošnjice), Medved unit (Medvedje Brdo) and Jurček unit (Kočevje). The main goal of our work was to establish the influence of field work on acquiring knowledge about forests and animals in the forest grounds. We were also interested in pupils' views and the feelings they acquired during field work. A questionnaire provided us with enough relevant data to conclude that pupils like field work, which has positive influence on learning and knowledge acquirement. The advantages of this learning method compared to classical learning in a classroom are significant – pupils gain their knowledge actively, they are outside enjoying the fresh air and they are learning by gaining their own experiences at field work.
