Zaradi togih predpisov so v Italiji sicer razširjena mikro družinska podjetja. Če želi Italija zmanjšati javni dolg bo morala spodbuditi poslovno okolje, kjer bodo podjetja lahko doživela razcvet. Če bodo podjetja zacvetela, potem bo tudi gospodarstvo bolj aktivno. Prišlo bo do povečanja produktivnosti, konkurenčnosti in posledično do gospodarske rasti.

Title:ITALY'S DEBT CRISIS
Abstract:Lately, the debt crisis has become a much heated debate, which is also the reason why I decided to look more thoroughly into this matter. The debt crisis in Italy started in the second half of year 2011 due to Italy's 2% of year's economic growth in the past decade, thus leading to the increase of the government debt. The country has more expenditures than incomes, which leads to the budget deficit. Reasons for the debt crisis are many, among them the low level of productivity, weakened competitiveness, the tax burden, too many regional differences etc. Italy still has some world-wide known companies and brands. Due to rigid regulations in Italy, the micro family businesses are widely expanded. If Italy wants to decrease the government debt, she will have to encourage the business environment, so that the companies can flourish. If this happens, the economy shall be more active, this referring to the increase of productivity, competitiveness and consequently to the economic growth. Should there be an economic growth or the increase of the GDP, the public debt can be paid off easier. However, this cannot be possible without structure reforms and the Italian government taking certain austerity measures. An important part have also two institution, ECB and IMF, who help Italy solving its debt crisis, according to their own goals and tasks.
