Abstract:Tema diplomskega dela je predstaviti tematiko, problematiko, sporočilnost in kritiško recepcijo pesniških zbirk Milana Dekleve izšlih po letu 1990. Proučevane so bile naslednje zbirke: Panični človek; Preseženi človek; Kvantaški stihi; Šepavi soneti; Jezikava rapsodija/Improvizacija na neznano temo; Sosledja; Glej medenico cvetne čaše, kako se razpira; V živi zob; Sledi božjih šapic; Slepa pegica časa; Audrey Hepburn, slišiš metlo budističnega učenca?, Sto žalostnih in še ena malo manj vesela. Upanje išče v ljubezni in pesmi.

Title:THEMES, SUBJECT MATTERS, MESSAGES AND CRITICAL RECEPTION OF MILAN DEKLEVA´S COLLECTIONS OF POEMS, PUBLISHED AFTER 1990
Abstract:The main aim of this dissertation is to illustrate the themes, subject matters, messages and critical reception of Milan Dekleva's collections of poems, published after 1990. The purpose of the dissertation is to extrapolate, on the basis of the twelve collections of poems published between 1990 and 2010, key themes, subject matters and messages, as well as to highlight through critical-texts research their critical reception. Among collections that were analysed are the following: Panični človek; Preseženi človek; Kvantaški stihi; Šepavi soneti; Jezikava rapsodija/Improvizacija na neznano temo; Sosledja; Glej medenico cvetne čaše, kako se razpira; V živi zob; Sledi božjih šapic; Slepa pegica časa; Audrey Hepburn, slišiš metlo budističnega učenca?, Sto žalostnih in še ena malo manj vesela. The collections were studied according to the year of publication and analysed on the basis of literary theory with reclination on accompanying studies, literary critics and literary-historical discussions. It has been established that the key theme of the majority of collections was transience, to which the rest of the themes are bound. Subject matters develop from themes. The lyrical subject is losing hope in a world that together with nature and universe has power over him. He seeks hope in love and poetry, and comes to realise that he cannot escape mortality; therefore, the only solution is to reconcile to it, which he sees as a great problem. The message of the majority of the collections reads that despite the awareness of our own mortality, we have to seek and find something positive in life. Critical reception is benevolent towards Dekleva.
Keywords:Theme, subject matter, message, critique, transience, man’s transcendence, man’s despair.
