Keywords:Celostno učenje, matematika, pouk izven učilnice, učenje z naravo, matematični sprehod.

Title:MATHEMATICAL WALK
Abstract:This thesis is divided into two parts – the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part explains integrated perception in children and defines the subject of mathematics, its general goals, and the methods of teaching it. It goes on to outline the significance of the learning environment and teaching outside the classroom. Concluding the theoretical part is a detailed description of an example of out-of-classroom teaching – a mathematical walk. The practical part showcases a plan of a mathematical walk prepared in Maribor for Year Three pupils. The plan contains a manual for the teacher and exercise papers for the children as well as a spread sheet detailing the goals to be reached in the execution and a health and safety plan. The purpose of this thesis is to present alternative, more interesting and fun ways of teaching mathematics and to make other mathematics teachers aware of them.
Keywords:Integrated learning, mathematics, out-of-classroom teaching, learning with nature, mathematical walk.
