Abstract:
Glavni namen magistrskega dela z naslovom Vzgojno-izobraževalni pomen poučevanja problematike podnebnih sprememb pri pouku geografije v obveznem izobraževanju je bil opozoriti na pomen celostne obravnave problematike podnebnih sprememb pri pouku geografije v osnovni šoli. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo opravili obsežen historični pregled znanstvenih ugotovitev na področju podnebnih sprememb v svetu in Sloveniji in tako opozorili, da gre za enega izmed najpomembnejših globalnih okoljskih problemov in izzivov prihodnosti. Raziskovalni del naloge je bil namenjen analizi in predstavitvi zastopanosti problematike podnebnih sprememb v učnih načrtih in učbenikih za geografijo v obveznem izobraževanju pri nas in v Nemčiji ter na Hrvaškem. Opravili smo raziskavo o poznavanju problematike podnebnih sprememb pri devetošolcih in raziskavo o možnostih in razumevanju potrebe po celostni obravnavi problematike podnebnih sprememb med osnovnošolskimi učitelji geografije v Sloveniji. Z uporabo deskriptivne in kavzalno neeksperimentalne metode raziskovalnega dela smo potrdili vodilno hipotezo magistrske naloge. Vodilna hipoteza magistrske naloge je bila predpostavka, da učenci pri pouku geografije v slovenski osnovni šoli ne pridobijo dovolj znanja in niso dovolj dobro ozaveščeni o problematiki podnebnih sprememb ter da bi to stanje morali z dopolnitvijo učnega načrta za geografijo v osnovni šoli s celostno obravnavo problematike podnebnih sprememb izboljšati.

Importance of educational teaching of climate changes in geography lessons in compulsory education
Abstract:
The main purpose of the master's thesis entitled Importance of educational teaching of climate changes in geography lessons in compulsory education was to draw attention to the importance of climate changes at geography lessons. In the theoretical part of the thesis we conducted an extensive review of historical scientific findings on climate changes in the world and in Slovenia. We pointed out that it is one of the most important global environmental problems and challenges for the future. The research part of the thesis was dedicated to the analysis and presentation of the representation of climate changes into curricula and textbooks for Geography in compulsory education in Slovenia, Germany and Croatia. We conducted a survey on knowledge of climate changes in the 9th level. We also studied the possibilities and needs of understanding climate changes among primary school teachers of geography in Slovenia. Using descriptive and non-experimental methods our research confirmed the main hypothesis in the thesis. The leading hypothesis was the assumption that students at geography lessons in Slovenian primary schools do not acquire enough knowledge and are not well enough informed on the issue of climate changes. We should update curriculum for geography in elementary school with an overall consideration of climate changes and improve the treatment of the problem of climate changes.
