Danes vodo izkoriščamo predvsem v konvencionalnih in v nekonvencionalnih elektrarnah.
Keywords:Voda, konvencionalne elektrarne, nekonvencionalne elektrarne, analiza učnega načrta, priprava na vzgojno – izobraževalno delo.

Title:Hydro energy - renewable energy source
Abstract:Water is a natural resource, which is a condition of life on Earth. It is a colorless, odorless and tasteless liquid. It covers three-quarters of the Earth's surface. Water on Earth is constantly circulating, it changes and renews. It occurs in different physical states, hard as ice, liquid such as water and gaseous, such as water vapor. This thesis presents the exploitation of water in both past and present. There is a description of the first uses of water with devices such as Saki, water wheel and the steam engine. Today we exploit water mainly for purposes in conventional and non-conventional power plants. Conventional power plants are power plants that utilize the kinetic and potential energy of rivers. Unconventional energy sources are power plants using energy ebb and flow or tidal, wave energy, ocean currents and thermal energy of the sea. I described the conventional types of facilities for the exploitation of hydropower as well as their advantages and disadvantages in this thesis. I also described in detail the devices that exploit unconventional sources of energy. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to the transfer of theoretical knowledge of the thesis into practice in elementary school. I had analyzed in which subjects taught in elementary school we could use the theoretical knowledge from the thesis. I analyzed the curriculum and prepared teaching content for lessons. The first preparation for educational work refers to the time of treatment and the assimilation of new information in the field of energy and energetics. The second preparation is about learning strategy in a form of school field trip.
Keywords:Water, conventional power plants, unconventional power plants, analysis of curriculum, preparation for educational work.
