Abstract:Naloga obravnava vpeljavo konkretnega informacijskega sistema v veliko trgovsko podjetje. Uporabljeni informacijski sistem G.O.L.D. Kratko so predstavljene uveljavljene metodologije uvajanja informacijskih sistemov primerljivih ponudnikov informacijskih rešitev.

Title:IMPLEMENTATION OF G.O.L.D. CENTRAL SISTEM IN A BIG RETAIL COMPANY
Abstract:The thesis deals with software implementation of a specific information system in a large retail company. G.O.L.D. Central information system is intended for supply chain management, is modular, tailored specifically for retail and can operate independently or in conjunction with other information systems. The thesis presents a business context of a specific software implementation which is complex due to requirements of the customer. Established software implementation methodologies of comparable software vendors are briefly presented. The thesis presents in detail project implementation from preparation, analysis and initial version of project plan till project completion. It analyses deviations from the initial project plan. We found that there was signification deviation from initial project plan due to: • difference in understanding business processes between customer’s business process architects and key users, • unsuccessful attempt at establishing a competence center which was supposed to handle phased migration of brands and post go-live support. Following suggestions for improving future G.O.L.D. Central implementations were made: • greater involvement of key users during requirements engineering, • building competence centers with client's internal human resources. Information system was implemented into clients business with a significant delay and is now in production.
