Abstract:
Diplomska naloga obravnava zagotavljanje kakovosti prevodov lokalizirane programske opreme. Opisan je proces lokalizacije za konkretnega naročnika na primeru programske opreme IBM WebSphere. Identificirane so slabosti v obstoječem procesu lokalizacije. Predlagane so izboljšave v procesih, kjer se pojavljajo šibkosti. Razvite in uvedene so kvantitativne metrike za merjenje kakovosti prevodov ter za ocenjevanje kakovosti prevajalcev. Predlagane in razvite so ankete za merjenje zadovoljstva naročnikov in sodelujočih v projektih.

Title:
TRANSLATION QUALITY ASSURANCE OF LOCALIZED SOFTWARE
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the translation quality assurance for localized software. The localization for a specific client is described in the case of IBM WebSphere. Weaknesses in the existing localization process are identified and improvements of the process are proposed. Quantitative metrics for translation quality assessments and for translator quality evaluations are developed and implemented. Surveys for customer and project members satisfaction are proposed and developed.
