Abstract:Majhni otroci vse več časa preživijo ob dvodimenzionalni televizijski realnosti.

Title:THE ROLE OF PARENTAL MEDIATION ON THE EFFECTS OF TELEVISION ON CHILDREN
Abstract:Young children are spending more and more time living a two-dimensional television reality. Since the brain architectures are forming and creating foundations for further cognitive, emotional and social development the period between ages 0 and 6 is considered the most important. The focus of this paper work is the role of parental mediation in channeling the impacts of television on these foundations. In the theoretical part we used descriptive and comparative methods by studying domestic and foreign literature. In the empirical part we conducted a survey and interviews to highlight the topic among Slovenian families. We concluded that parental mediation could be an effective tool in guiding the effects of television as a medium.
