Abstract:V sodobnih tehnoloških časih se povečuje zavedanje relevantnosti nenehnega usposabljanja in izobraževanja kadrov, saj le tako ostanemo v prednosti pred konkurenco ter posledično pridobimo več potencialnih strank.

Title:EDUCATION OF CAR SALESMANS IN COMPANY X
Abstract:In our day and age the importance of ongoing staff education and training is becoming more and more apparent, as it gives us an advantage over our competitors. We need to be aware of the education our employees have already received, while also constantly upgrading and refreshing their knowledge, as it can quickly diminish. This need is clearly indicated in fields dealing with the development and distribution of technology, since they need the latest knowledge for the distribution to be possible in the first place. In the first, theoretical part, we will be presenting the idea of education as a constant and planned process that helps an individual acquire new knowledge, skills and habits, which enable him to fit into his environment. Education helps the individual to better understand his environment and the social structure that surrounds it. We will also be touching upon lifelong education and the education of adults, which is important, because it’s mostly adults that are joining the workforce. In the practical part we will establish four hypotheses which we will confirm or deny, based on the results gained from questionaries. We will be examining the differences between wanted and actual knowledge, the connections between duration of employment and amount of education received and establish a model that will assist with better system of education and coaching. The study was conducted in a small car dealership. At Company X they are aware of the importance of a continuous, uninterrupted education process. They provide their employees with access to new skills that are in line with their sales programme. They also strive to maintain a good reputation by investing in their staff, while also realising that salesmen are crucial, because they represent the connection with the world of the consumer, in which you need to fight for your existence. The results will show that the willingness for further education is inversely proportional with the duration of employment. We will see if the results also show that new employees receive more training and education than older employees. We will also be examining the differences in sales that appear between male and female salesmen.
