Abstract:Diplomsko delo Zgodovinski razvoj plesa in njegova vključitev v vzgojno-izobraževalno delo je teoretično delo. Zajema vse tja od prvih prednikov v kameni dobi, prve omembe besede balet in vse tja do 20. stoletja in svobodnega izražanja.

Title:Historical development of dance and its inclusion into educational work
Abstract:The diploma thesis Historical development of dance and its inclusion into educational work is a theoretical work. The main goal of this thesis is to provide an overview of the evolution of dance and to incorporate it into the education process. The thesis deals with three things: dance as a part of human culture, all the factors that influence it and the evolution of dance as the primary focus of this work. There were many milestones and influences in the evolution of dance and they are described in detail in the thesis. The description begins with the Stone Age, moves to the earliest known coinage of the word ballet and ends in the 20th century with modern expression. Additionally, the purpose of dance in early childhood education and its influence on the child’s development is presented. It is no coincidence that children find themselves in dance and movement. If children are allowed to find ways of empowering themselves and finding impulses for life’s optimism in dance, they will inevitably express their individuality. Through the theoretical part dances and customs which can be employed in early childhood education can be studied. These dances and customs are presented in lesson plans.
