Title:Living nature - How well (if it all) do pupils of Primary school Gustav Šilih Laporje know it
Abstract:Dissertation Living nature – how well (and if at all) do pupils in Primary school Gustav Šilih Laporje know it, is made of two parts (theoretic and empiric), which each by itself is an integral whole, but they both supplement and upgrade each other. In the theoretical part nature (living and non-living) is defined, the habitats (forest, field, river, orchard, meadow) are described and the connection between children and nature is emphasized. Because the research problem is located in Laporje, the place is introduced in the theoretical part. In the empirical part of the dissertation the results of the empirical research are introduced, which was made on a 153 pupil pattern in the Primary school Gustav Šilih Laporje. The purpose of the research was to find out how well (if at all) the pupils know the living nature. According to the results we established that the pupils of the Primary school Gustav Šilih Laporje are mostly well familiar with the living nature. The results showed that the pupils in the research have knowledge of a field habitat, which surrounds greatly the school and the village of Laporje itself. A river, an orchard and a meadow are the habitats the pupils are mostly also familiar with, but the weakest is the familiarity with a forest habitat and its plants.
