Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava tematiko gluhote in naglušnosti v odvisnosti govorno-jezikovnega razvoja posameznika. Oboji obiskujejo isto osnovno šolo, vendar so gluhi in naglušni deležni strokovne pomoči s strani mobilne logopedinje. Analizirana besedila so razdeljena na govorna in zapisana, kjer je pri zapisanih besedilih izpostavljenih vsega skupaj 52 neustreznih besed slišečih učencev in 35 besed gluhih/naglušnih učencev. Teme so bile izbrane naključno.

Title:Comparasion of linguistic proficiency of deaf/hard-of-hearing students with linguistic proficiency of hearing students
Abstract:This master thesis deals with deafness and hearing impairment in the dependence of the speech-linguistic development of an individual. Research focuses on comparing the linguistic abilities of hearing pupils and the adaptation of the speech and language development of deaf/hard of hearing pupils. Theoretical part of the master's thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is about the problematic of deafness and hearing impairment, the causes and consequences of deafness, the adjustment of deaf or hard of hearing pupils and their teachers, and hearing aids and the way they work. The second part is intended for language, with emphasis on spelling, grammar and stylistics. The following chapter discuses already considered inadequacy in linguistics analysis in correlation to hearing impairment that was done on secondary school students. It was found that the majority of errors of the students of an adjusted education program occurred in the field of syntax and speech. The second analysis was carried out on pupils who use a hearing aid and it confirmed that the speech and language development of deaf/hard of hearing pupils, especially the grammar field, depends on the time of insertion of the Cochlear implant (the sooner the device is inserted, the lighter and the greater the progress). The empirical part of the master's thesis is intended to compare the speech and language development of hearing pupils with deaf/hard of hearing pupils. Compared was the population of pupils that attend grades from 7th to the 9th. Both are attending the same primary school, except that deaf and hard of hearing receive professional help from a speech and language therapist. The analyzed texts are divided into spoken and written. All 52 unsuitable words of hearing pupils and 35 words of deaf/hard of hearing pupils are exposed in the written texts. Topics were selected randomly. In addition to an inadequate word, the correct version is also written in the table. The spoken texts were created with the help of oral presentations of the pupils; the topics were determined by their Slovene language teacher. Most of the inadequacies appear in the field of spelling and syntax. Many dialect words and slang are used. It has been found that deaf/hard of hearing pupils can achieve the same results as hearing pupils.
