V drugem, empiričnem delu so predstavljene naravoslovne dejavnosti, usmerjene na spoznavanje lastnosti vode. V dejavnosti so bili vključeni otroci od 4 do 5 leta starosti.

Title:Experimental days with water
Abstract:The following thesis Experimental days with water has two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the first part, the early science education (definition and importance), experimental work (stages of experiment and role of adults at experimental work) and water (description, importance and characteristics of water and other liquids) are presented. In the second, empirical part, natural science activities are presented and their focus is on recognising the characteristics of water. The activities included children aged 4 to 5. Children were divided into three groups by ability, main factors for dividing were understanding, knowledge and motivation for activities. The children remained in the same group throughout the activities, but they had different tasks (tasks with different level of difficulty). Our focus was on appropriate difficulty for the appropriate group. We mixed all the groups together in the end. They were given the same tasks and we tried to identify, whether the instructions of the tasks are clear enough, how actively the more capable children participate or if weaker children just follow the stronger ones and agree with them.
Keywords:experiments, characteristics of water, children, natural science, development of skills and abilities, activities with water and other liquids
