Abstract:Izhodišča: Poklic medicinske sestre že nekaj let doživlja hudo kadrovsko pomanjkanje, kar posledično vpliva na kakovost zdravstvene nege in zadovoljstvo zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi. Največje bogastvo v organizaciji so ljudje in njihove zmožnosti. Vlaganje v ljudi povečuje vrednost same organizacije in njenih zaposlenih. Namen: Opredeliti pojem zavzetosti in raziskati stopnjo zavzetosti zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi v njihovem delovnem okolju.
Keywords:Samoučinkovitost, zadovoljstvo, ravnanje z ljudmi, interakcija na delovnem mestu, občutek vrednosti.

Title:Personal committment for the quality and safety of nurses´ work
Abstract:Topic: The nursing profession has been facing a severe staffing shortage for a number of years, which consequently has an impact on the quality of medical care and on the satisfaction of healthcare workers. Personal commitment influences the work of healthcare employees from the perspective of patient care, the treatment outcome and furthermore from the patient satisfaction perspective. The greatest asset in the organization are people and their capabilities. The investment in people increases the value of the organisation itself as well as its employees. Objective: To define the concept of commitment and explore the degree of commitment of helthcare employees in their work environment. Research methodology: The final paper consists of a theoretical as well as an empirical part. In the theoretical part a comparative methodology of literature analysis was used, by which we have summarized various theoretical points of view, discoveries and results. For the empirical part a quantitative methodology was used. A structured questionnaire consisting of several content compounds was created as a measuring instrument. The research, in which 205 of the final paper were tested from the viewpoint of internal consistency of each content compound (Cronbach alfa). For the purpose of this analysis the correlative analysis was used, and a variance analysis (ANOVA) was conducted to compare individual groups. Findings: The enthusiasm and readiness for quality of nurses work are correlated. More enthusiastic nurses are also more inclined to the factors which we connect with the quality of nursing. The higher the self-efficiency, the bigger the enthusiasm, which all have an impact on the greater acceptance of change. More enthusiastic nurses are more inclined towards the factors connected with the safety of nursing. We have discovered that the relations at work are positively and statistically connected with commitment as well as with the readiness for implementing changes and furthermore providing quality and patient safety tools . Discussion and conclusion: Commitment is a result of interaction at a workplace. The employees who feel better at work will also be more future-oriented, more open for novelties, and will, above all, more frequently use different tools and approaches for strengthening the quality of health-care work, and take an (even more) eager care for the safety of pacients.
Keywords:Efficiency, enjoyment, human care, work environment interactions, self-worth.
