Keywords:zaznavanje trkov, fizikalni pogon, realnočasovna simulacija fizike, široka faza, ozka faza, oklepajoči prostori.

Title:Development of a collision detection system
Abstract:Detecting collision of two or more object is a well known problem in the fields of physics simulations, robotics, animation, movies, autonomous driving, games and others. Generally, the solutions can be divided into two approaches: online and offline. The former is usually simplified, real-time, and meant for high interactivity, while the latter focuses on higher accuracy, unfortunately, also demands more complex solutions with higher computational complexity. Some of the drawbacks of online system are accuracy, stability, flexibility with geometrical composition of objects, usability and guarantee that the system can effectively simulate higher number of objects in real-time. This masters thesis describes the process of developing a collision detection system. It portrays the theoretical part of developing a modern physics engine with the addition of practical tips on designing some of the more popular algorithms for solving real-time collision detection.
Keywords:collision detection, physics engine, real-time physics simulation, broad phase, narrow phase, bounding volumes.
