Seznanili smo jih z navodili igre. Predmet našega raziskovanja je bilo razumevanje navodil. Rezultate smo zbirali skozi opazovanje pri igri in jih zapisovali v tabele. Podatke smo obdelali s pomočjo programa "SSPS". Pridobljene rezultate smo predstavili v poglavju praktičnega dela diplomskega dela.

Title:The use of the game tiny polka dot for early learning of the mathematics
Abstract:The aim of this diploma entitled "The use of the game "Tiny Polka Dot" for early learning of the mathematics" was to present the course and rules of the mentioned game to children in a pleasant and inspiring manner. Furthermore, the goal was to determine whether there was an improvement in the understanding of the instructions during the third attempt at the ame in comparison to the first attempt. In the theoretical part of this diploma thesis, mathematics is presented as a part of child's everyday life at home and in the kindergarten. Different areas of preschool mathematics are listed together with examples of activities that can be used to intoduce a particular area to children. The theoretical part also includes a presentation of diffrent authors and their views of the child's mathematical development. The empirical part contains a presentation of the Tiny Polka Dot game that was used in the research part. The mathematical knowledge of children was determined by a preliminary test. Children were introduced to the rules od the game. The research was focused on the child's understanding of the instructions. Results were collected through observations of children as they were playing the game. Data was written into tables and processed using the SSPS program. The obtained results are presented in the practical part of this diploma.
