Abstract:During the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies have been forced to do remote work overnight to increase social distancing. This means new challenges, both for organizations as a whole and for the individuals within the organization who need to handle governance-related aspects and functions. Both managers and employees now need to accept these new conditions, partly to handle the changes that new governance structures entail, but above all to ensure that the business can be conducted in a satisfactory and successful manner. The e-collaboration tools thus play a crucial role in how employees can carry out their work from home in a similar way as in office, without losing productivity. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to research if the scenario for remote working is included in the strategic plan and companies are prepared to work from home. A survey questionnaire was conducted on 61 respondents from various ICT organizations, were forced to switch to remote work during the pandemic, focusing on examining productivity and underlying factors and experience of workers who are remote working.
