Zaradi njene drugačnosti in načina poslovanja so druge države pred njo čutile strah.

Title:Analysis of chinese takeovers in the European Union
Abstract:Presently ambitious China was a stranger in the international market before its introduction of economic reforms, strategically set strategies and policies to achieve the desired economic growth, including actively incentivized mergers and takeovers, and its admission to the World Trade Organization (hereinafter WTO). Due to its distinctness and its way of doing business, other countries feared China. Some of them still do today; however, that fear has changed somewhat because of the country’s strong geographical and economic presence in the global council – in the domestic as well as the foreign policy domain. Due to its presence in a variety of globally strategically important industries, China presents an opportunity and a danger for many; mainly due to its geographical, political and economic goals, which it intends to achieve through meticulous planning and careful implementation of its set economic and political policies and strategies. It is currently transitioning from a production-oriented, labor-intensive and low-cost country to an economic power, which it will achieve through the use of active foreign direct investment (hereinafter FDI). Takeovers of companies from strategically important industries and critical infrastructure facilities play a crucial role in this. The European Union (hereinafter EU) is also important, as its investment environment, developed infrastructure, technologically-advanced and unified market with high purchasing power, and many globally-established brands in the market make it one of the key target markets for Chinese investments.
