Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo preučevali regulacijo procesov prvega in drugega reda ob prisotnosti različno dolgih mrtvih časih in različni velikosti časovne konstante pri predpostavki, da regulacijske konstante določimo z algoritmom za samonastavitev regulatorja. V delu prikazujemo izdelavo simulacije nereguliranega procesa – odziva na stopničasto spremembo, simulacijo reguliranega procesa s povratno zančno regulacijo in postopek samonastavitve konstant regulatorja v program MATLAB / Simulink.

Title:Simulation and comparison of control mechanisms for control of processes with dead time
Abstract:In the thesis we have studied the control of first and second order processes in the presence of dead times of different lengths and different magnitudes of the time constant, assuming that the controller constants are determined by the autotuning algorithm. The work presents simulations of an uncontrolled process - response to a step change in input, simulations of a feedback-controlled process, and the autotuning procedure of the controller constants in MATLAB / Simulink. The analysis is performed on examples of generic first and second order processes with PI and PID feedback control scheme. The aim of the work was to determine which type of control is more efficient in eliminating the effects of disturbance and in tracking the changes in the setpoint changes. The results show that PI and the PID control are comparatively effective in controlling first and second order processes in the presence of dead time. The autotuning algorithm provides controller constants that ensure efficient tracking of the changes in the setpoint. They also ensure effective elimination of disturbances that occur in the process.
