Beutler idr., 2004), vendar so slabo raziskane.

Title:Interpersonal characteristics of effective psychologists: the perspective of psychologists, users, as well as potential users of psychological services
Abstract:The effectiveness of psychological services depends on several factors, including the characteristics of their providers. These explain up to 20% of the variance in outcomes (e.g., Beutler et al., 2004), but are still poorly researched. Thus, the master's thesis focuses on discovering the links between the characteristics of psychologists and the effectiveness of psychological services. It is limited to certain interpersonal characteristics - emotional empathy and verbal as well as non-verbal communication. Since most past field studies are based on psychologist self-reporting, the topic is explored from the perspective of psychologists, users as well as potential users for better insight. The aim was to determine which characteristics of psychologists will prove to be important for the effectiveness of psychological services from different perspectives. The study involved 55 psychologists, 55 users and 119 potential users. Depending on the group, participants were presented with different versions of the Social Skills Inventory for measuring interpersonal characteristics. Participants from the groups of psychologists and users were also presented with different versions of the measure of effectiveness. Data for the group of psychologists and users were analyzed by ordinal regression; and for the group of potential users by descriptive statistics and comparison with the results of other groups. In a group of users, non-verbal communication by a psychologist proved to be an important predictor of the effectiveness of psychological services. It was also identified as important characteristic from the perspective of potential users. The results deviate from expectations, as it was initially anticipated that verbal communication and emotional empathy in different groups would also be associated with effectiveness. There are several possible causes of discrepancies, including methodological shortcomings.
