Abstract:Zaradi razvoja hotelsko informacijskega sistema 4.0 potrebujejo receptorji v dobi digitalizacije za uspešno opravljanje delovne funkcije določene lastnosti, znanja in veščine.

Title:RECEPTIONIST IN TOURISM 4.0: CASE STUDY OF THE SELECTED ORGANIZATION
Abstract:The development of the hotel information system 4.0 has led to the need for receptionists to have certain personal characteristics, knowledge, skills and know-how to successfully perform their job function. In the theoretical part of this final thesis, we placed an emphasis on providing a more detailed definition of individual competencies, the components of these individual competencies, individual competencies by levels, as well as receptionist competencies according to professional standards for receptionists. In the empirical part, we used the research method of a case study which included an analysis of the hotel information system and two interviews with the reception managers of the tourist complex. We found that a receptionist is expected to be enterprising, creative, innovative and collaborative. Furthermore, they need to share their knowledge, be flexible, adaptable and capable of solving complex problems. Digital transformation can be a burden for older generations of employees, as it can lead to feelings of incompetence. By contrast, the younger generations of employees are slightly better able to adapt to rapid technological changes in their work environment. Despite the inevitability of technological progression and the fact that digital competencies of employees are crucial for the organisation, the emphasis remains on the creativity and emotional competencies of each individual.
