Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Vpliv in pomen vzgojiteljevega branja pravljic na besedišče otrok, starih od dveh do treh let smo proučevali, kako lahko kakovostna spodbuda vzgojiteljevega pripovedovanja in branja otroške literature, vpliva na širjenje otrokovega besednjaka v časovnem obdobju šestih mesecev.

Title:The influence and importance of educator's reading of fairy tales on the vocabulary of children, aged from two to three years
Abstract:In the thesis, entitled The Influence and Importance of the Educator's Reading of Fairy Tales on the Vocabulary of Children, Aged Two to Three Years, we studied how the quality encouragement of the educator's storytelling and reading of children's literature can influence the expansion of the child's vocabulary over a period of six months. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we focused on speech, the process of speech development, theories that represent the basics of speech development and, of course, the factors that influence all of this. We have also dedicated one chapter to literacy, especially emerging literacy, which is connected to the family environment and kindergarten. In the empirical part, the results of the data obtained in the research are shown and defined. We researched the level of the child's vocabulary on two tests, conducted in a span of six months. During these six months, we systematically told and read a wide variety of fairy tales to the children, with the aim of influencing the expansion of the child's vocabulary. At the initial and final examination, the children independently or with a certain amount of help from the educator recognized and named a different number of pictures with everyday themes. We found that the educator's reading of fairy tales has a great effect on the expansion of the child's vocabulary, as a great progress in it was shown over a period of six months.
