Abstract:Uvod: Depresija je v današnjem času najpogostejša duševna motnja. Metode: V namen priprave zaključnega dela smo sistematično pregledali znanstveno literaturo in uporabili deskriptivno oziroma opisno metodo dela za opis posameznih pojmov. Za iskanje literature smo uporabili naslednje mednarodne podatkovne baze: PubMed, CINAHL in Cochrane Library. Potek iskanja smo prikazali s pomočjo PRISMA diagrama.

Title:The impact of physical activity on depression in adolescents
Abstract:Introduction: Depression is the most common mental disorder today. Most cases start in adolescence or young adulthood, and it is often a chronic and recurrent condition. The prevalence of mental disorders among adolescents and the possible long-term consequences makes the impact of physical activity on depression in adolescents an important topic for research. The purpose of this thesis is to research the impact of physical activity on depression in adolescents. Methods: To prepare the thesis, we systematically reviewed the scientific literature and used the descriptive method to describe the individual terms. The following international databases were used to search the literature: PubMed, CINAHL and Cochrane Library. The search process was illustrated using a PRISMA diagram. Thematic analysis was used to show how the evidence was synthesised. Results: A total of 99 hits were identified, of which 7 surveys were included in the final analysis and are presented in the table below. The main theme we identified is the impact of physical activity on the treatment of depression in adolescents, with the following three subcategories: types of physical activity, outcomes, and types of treatment. Discussion and conclusion: Research has shown that physical activity is important in the treatment and prevention of depression in adolescents. Exercise improves symptoms of depression in adolescents and has a moderate antidepressant effect. Health education is essential for patients with depression, and the nurse plays a key role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle.
