Title:Complementary methods of alleviating symptoms during menopause
Abstract:Introduction: Menopause means the end of the reproductive period, which usually occurs in women aged 45—55. Menopausal problems are a critical aspect of women's lives and can seriously affect their quality of life. The purpose of the final work is to investigate the effectiveness of various complementary methods for alleviating symptoms during menopause. Methods: In the final part, we used the descriptive method of work. The final work is based on a review of scientific literature, for its search we used foreign databases: PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate and Web of Science. The course of the literature search was presented with a PRISMA diagram. The analysis and synthesis of the collected data was presented in the evaluation and synthesis table. Results: We included 12 articles in the final analysis. We have found that complementary methods are a widespread and effective way of alleviating the symptoms of menopause. Exercise and meditation have the best effect on the general symptoms of menopause, nutritional supplements and yoga on sleep problems, and hypnosis had the greatest effect on reducing the incidence of hot flashes. Discussion and conclusion: More and more women are using complementary methods to relieve menopausal symptoms, but there is an issue of awareness regarding the safety of their use. Complementary methods can be an effective way to naturally relieve symptoms that occur during menopause, but more research is needed on the safety of complementary methods for relieving menopausal symptoms.
