Abstract:Nefinančna uspešnost podjetij je v trenutnih časih vedno bolj pomembna zaradi vse večjega zavedanja o nujnosti ohranjanja okolja in družbe.

Title:Non-Financial performance factors as a selected aspect of strategic directions for company sustainability: the case of Luka Koper, d. d.
Abstract:The non-financial performance of companies is increasingly important nowadays due to the growing awareness of the need to preserve the environment and society. For this purpose, companies use activities related to sustainable development and direct their operations in a socially responsible direction. In the master's thesis, we first discuss in the theoretical part the selected non-financial factors of success, as selected aspects of strategic orientations for the sustainability of the company, which will be based on the MER model of integral management. The selected non-financial performance factors are sustainable development, as an approach to the development of the environment, society and economy to ensure long-term quality and well-being. Social responsibility derives from sustainable development, but more specifically refers also to companies - how they must operate, accept and take responsibility for the impact of their operations on society. The next factor is credibility, which represents a factor that must become part of the culture for a company to be trustworthy and considered credible. The culture factor represents attitudes, values, behavior, rituals and norms within the company, and outside the company this is manifested as ethics, which focuses on environment and social relations. As the last factor, we define non-financial performance, which selected combines competitiveness, ethics, culture, efficiency and credibility. In the empirical part of the assignment, we will apply the theoretical starting points of non-financial success factors to the practical example of the company Luka Koper, d. d. After the research of the theory, we also provide the findings of the empirical work and suggestions for the development and practice of the company.
Keywords:Sustainable development, non-financial performance factors, social responsibility.
