Abstract:	Splošni pregled učbeniškega gradiva za slovenščino za gimnazije in srednje strokovne šole nakazuje, da je obravnavi zgodovine jezika, ki je pomembna tudi za dobro razumevanje sodobnega jezikovnega stanja, posvečene malo pozornosti. V magistrskem delu je navedeno preverjeno. Najprej je podan kratek teoretični pregled zgodovine slovenskega jezika, sledita analiza in primerjava učnega načrta za slovenščino za gimnazije ter izbranega učbeniškega gradiva (Na pragu besedila 1–4 in Slovenščina 1–3, Moč jezika), zlasti z vidika zastopanosti in načina obravnave jezikovnozgodovinskih tem. Ugotovljeno je, da aktualni učni načrt za slovenščino za gimnazije in srednje strokovne šole vsebuje večinoma splošno zastavljene procesnorazvojne cilje in vsebinske sklope za jezikovni pouk, ki se navezujejo na zgodovino (slovenskega) jezika, kar učbeniška gradiva hitro dosežejo. Analiza kaže, da oba izbrana kompleta učbeniških gradiv teoretične vsebine zgodovine (slovenskega) jezika podajata v kronološkem zaporedju, da jih predstavljata sistematično in nazorno ter da so te vsebine največkrat obravnavane neposredno (redkeje posredno ob obravnavi slovničnih tem). Gradivo Slovenščina 1–3, Moč jezika je ob tem vsebinsko aktualnejše, bolj približano današnjemu času in digitalizirani družbi, bolj usklajeno z najnovejšimi spoznanji stroke, vključuje podrobnejše ter bolj poglobljene strokovne razlage zgodovine (slovenskega) jezika ter dijake in dijakinje nagovarja tudi z odlomki iz stripov. Izkaže se, da je zgodovina slovenskega jezika v tem gradivu predstavljena premišljeno in s posebnim ozirom na njen pomen v okviru pouka slovenščine.

Title:	History of (Slovenian) Language in Secondary School Curriculum and Textbook Materials for Slovenian
Abstract:	A general review of Slovenian textbooks for secondary and vocational schools suggests that little attention has been paid to the treatment of the history of the language, which is also important for a good understanding of the modern linguistic situation. This is verified in the master’s thesis. First, a brief theoretical overview of the history of the Slovene language is given, followed by an analysis and comparison of the curriculum for Slovenian for secondary schools and selected textbook material (Na pragu besedila 1–4 and Slovenščina 1–3, Moč jezika), especially from the point of view of representation and treatment of linguistic and historical topics. It has been established that the current curriculum for Slovene for secondary and vocational schools contains mostly general process development goals and content sets for language teaching related to the history of the (Slovenian) language, which is quickly achieved by textbook materials. The analysis portrays that both selected sets of textbook materials present the theoretical content of the history of the (Slovenian) language in chronological order, they also present them systematically and clearly, and that these contents are most often dealt with directly (rarely indirectly when dealing with grammatical topics). The materials Slovenščina 1–3 and Moč jezika are more contemporary in terms of content, they are more relevant to today’s time and digitized society, more in line with the latest findings of the profession, they include more detailed and in-depth professional explanations of the history of the (Slovenian) language, and address students with excerpts from comics. It proves that the history of the Slovene language is presented in this material thoughtfully and with special regard to its importance in the context of Slovene language teaching.
