Abstract:Uvod: Opolnomočenje pacientov je ključni vidik sodobnega zdravstvenega varstva, katerega namen je povečati nadzor pacientov nad lastnim zdravjem in odločitvami o zdravstveni negi. Za iskanje znanstvene literature smo uporabili tuje podatkovne baze: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CHINAL) ter Sage Journals. Potek iskanja literature smo predstavili s pomočjo PRISMA diagrama. Sintezo vsebine smo predstavili z vsebinsko analizo.

Title:Patient empowerment strategies
Abstract:Introduction: Patient empowerment is a key aspect of modern healthcare that aims to increase patients' control over their own health and care decisions. The purpose of the final work was to investigate the nurse's strategies for patient empowerment through a review of the scientific literature. Work methods: We conducted a literature review in a systematic way, using a descriptive work method. To search for scientific literature, we used foreign databases: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CHINAL) and Sage Journals. The course of the literature search was presented using the PRISMA diagram. We presented the content synthesis with content analysis. Results: We included 9 studies in the final review, with the help of which we identified strategies and approaches for patient empowerment. They take place in the form of group work and/or an individual approach. Individualized education leads the way in terms of the effect on the patient, but it requires a lot of creativity and innovation of educational techniques from the healthcare professional. Discussion and Conclusion: Our findings suggest that tailored patient education and integration of technology into patient care can significantly empower patients. Healthcare providers should consider adopting these strategies to improve patient outcomes. Future research should investigate the long-term effects of these empowerment strategies on patient health.
