Abstract:V sklopu diplomskega dela smo sintetizirali magnetne nanodelce (magnetit/maghemit) z uporabo večih modulov na mikroreaktoskem sistemu. Sinetizirali smo 1 vozrec nanodelcev brez dodatka citronske kisline in 11 različnih vzorcev z isto množino nanodelcev železovega oksida ter različno množino dodane citronske kisline.

Title:Optimization of the production of magnetic nanoparticles coated with citric acid in a microreactor system
Abstract:As part of this thesis, we synthesized magnetic nanoparticles (magnetite/maghemite) using several modules on a microreactor system. The aim of the thesis was to investigate the optimal amount of citric acid to add to the synthesized nanoparticles so that they are best coated and prepared for use in various biomedical applications. We started the synthesis of nanoparticles by preparing solutions, which were later used in the microreactor. We synthesized 1 set of nanoparticles without the addition of citric acid and 11 different samples with the same amount of iron oxide nanoparticles and a different amount of added citric acid. We then analyzed the causes using the DLS method and found out in which cases the dressing was successful. We measured the potential in particle size as a function of pH. The results show that an isoelectric point at pH 6.8 is required for successful synthesis of nanoparticles. We found that nanoparticle coating was successful for samples with an isoelectric point between pH 2 and 3.
