Abstract:Linearna ekonomija temelji na potratnem ciklu "vzemi – izdelaj – odstrani".

Title:Analysis of the circular economy in the case of the company Ekstera ltd
Abstract:The linear economy is based on the wasteful cycle of "take - make - dispose." This means that the necessary resources are extracted, products are made for sale and profit generation, and then all unnecessary elements are discarded—including the product itself when it reaches the end of its life. This model is unsustainable in the long term, which makes the transition to a circular economy essential. In a circular economy, products are designed for easy recycling, reuse, disassembly, and reprocessing, which reduces negative environmental impacts and promotes new business opportunities. The implementation of a circular economy brings numerous social, economic, and environmental benefits to companies. However, they encounter various challenges when adopting this model, such as cultural, market, technological, and regulatory barriers. An example of a company that has successfully adopted a circular model is Ekstera d.o.o. One result of this approach is the development of a new product—Ni 60 briquettes, made from waste nickel alloy scrapings that were previously considered waste. This has significantly reduced environmental impact since the waste no longer ends up in landfills.
