Abstract:	Družinska podjetja so ena najpomembnejših vrst podjetij v Sloveniji in po svetu. V Evropi družinska podjetja ustvarjajo 65 % delovnih mest in BDP-ja. Pri družinskih podjetjih pa veliko krat nastane težava pri prenosu nasledstva na naslednjo generacijo. Tako smo v teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela definirali družinska podjetja, zapisali, zakaj so pomembna in naredili primerjavo prednosti in slabosti le-teh. Raziskovali smo tudi družinske odnose, ki vplivajo na procese dela v podjetjih. Posvetili pa smo se predvsem problemu nasledstva in tako opisali razne nasledstvene možnosti in strategije, ki jih lastniki družinskih podjetij uporabljajo pri procesu prenosa podjetja. Za empirični del diplomskega dela pa smo analizirali izbrano družinsko podjetje Atermika d.o.o. Definirali smo, zakaj je podjetje družinsko, raziskovali odnose med družino in podjetjem ter s pomočjo direktorja napravili še nasledstveni načrt.

Title:	Succession planning and development of family businesses in the example of company x
Abstract:	Family businesses are one of the most important types of businesses in Slovenia and worldwide. In Europe, family businesses generate 65% of jobs and GDP. However, many times the problem with family businesses is the transmission of succession to the next generation. Thus, in the theoretical part of the thesis, we defined family businesses, wrote why they are important and made a comparison of their advantages and disadvantages. We have also explored the family relationships that influence the work processes of the companies. We focused on the problem of succession, describing the different succession options and strategies that family business owners use in the process of transferring their business. For the empirical part of the thesis, we analysed a selected family business, Atermika d.o.o. We defined why the business is a family business, explored the relationships between the family and the business and, together with the help of the CEO, we made a succession plan.
