Uporabili smo sistematični pristop dela z metodami pregleda, analize in sinteze strokovne znanstvene literature. Članke smo iskali v štirih mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, ScienceDirect in SAGE.

Title:The impact of physical work on the occurrence of a herniated disc by nurses
Abstract:Disc herniation is treated as one of the main causes of lumbar spine pain. Nurses are occupationally exposed to patient handling activities, working in awkward postures, carrying a large part of the patient's body weight, bending and often twisting the upper trunk, which in turn can lead to excessive stress on the intervertebral discs. We used a systematic approach to review, analyse and synthesise the peer-reviewed scientific literature. We searched four international databases PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, ScienceDirect and SAGE. We included 8 studies in the final analysis. We found that physical strain such as weight lifting, lifting and moving medical equipment, lifting and moving patients, moving pregnant women and excessively heavy patients influences the occurrence of disc herniation in nurses. The physical demands of a nurse's job can contribute to the development of a herniated disc. Knowing the risk factors and consequences, it is important to raise nurses awareness of the importance of physical fitness and the correct performance of activities or interventions that require high physical effort to reduce the chances of disc herniation.
