Title:Optimization of hr processes: the role of artificial intelligence in the development of the hr function in the modern business environment
Abstract:This master’s thesis explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool for improving the efficiency of human resource processes in organizations. The aim of the thesis is to investigate how AI contributes to the optimization of various HR processes and to assess its applicability and potential for improvement. The thesis is divided into two parts: a theoretical section and an empirical section. The empirical part is based on a qualitative research approach - multiple case studies and structured interviews, which enables an analysis of the current state of AI adoption in Slovenian companies and the identification of key challenges and opportunities in implementing AI technologies. The research results indicate that AI significantly enhances the optimization of HR processes by increasing efficiency and reducing administrative burdens for HR professionals. The advantages include automation of repetitive tasks, improved analytics, and enhanced decision-making support. However, weaknesses involve risks related to algorithmic bias, ethical concerns, and data privacy protection. AI presents exceptional potential for optimizing HR processes. However, a balanced approach, including technological and human factors, thoughtful implementation, and adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, is crucial for successful integration. The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of AI application in HR processes, including a SWOT analysis that highlights key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of AI in HR. The findings confirm that AI is a critical factor for the future development of HR functions and provides a solid foundation for further research and practical implementation of AI.
