Title:Employee motivation at boutique hotel X
Abstract:This thesis explores the key motivational factors affecting employees in the tourism sector, specifically in boutique hotels. As modern tourists increasingly seek unique experiences, boutique hotels offer a more intimate and personalized stay compared to chain hotels. The staff in these hotels plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience, making it essential to understand the factors that drive their motivation for quality work. The research aimed to identify the motivational elements that positively impact employee engagement in a sector characterized by high turnover rates and to explore effective approaches for maintaining a motivated and committed workforce. Through a case study in a selected boutique hotel, it was found that employees are driven by various factors, including praise, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional development. Based on these insights, the thesis recommends implementing more flexible reward systems and offering accessible training opportunities that do not infringe on employees’ free time. By adopting these strategies, boutique hotels can improve employee satisfaction and motivation.
