Abstract:V diplomski nalogi Načrtovanje in izvajanje glasbenih dejavnosti v mestnih in podeželskih vrtcih smo ugotavljali vpliv glasbe na otrokov razvoj in kakšno vlogo imajo pri tem vrtec in vzgojitelji.

Title:Planning and implementation of musical activities in urban and rural kindergartens
Abstract:In the thesis Planning and Implementation of Musical Activities in Urban and Rural Kindergartens we researched the impact of music on child's development and the role of kindergartens and kindergarten educators in the process. We examined how kindergarten educators in rural and urban kindergartens plan and implement musical activities. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the city and the countryside as living environments are presented, focusing on the differences and similarities between them. In addition, the influence of music on a child's development and the process of musical development in a child are described. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the kindergarten curriculum, including its goals and principles, which serve as guidelines when planning musical activities. After describing and defining musical activities, different models of planning musical activities in kindergartens are discussed. In the empirical part of the thesis, we formulated hypotheses and research questions, which we explored using data gathered through a survey questionnaire completed by educators from urban and rural kindergartens in Slovenia. According to the survey research, rural kindergartens are better equipped with musical instruments. Musical activities are more frequently planned in rural kindergartens. A higher number of rural kindergartens have a choir, and the rural educators integrate music into children's daily routines more frequently. However, in urban kindergartens, a permanent music corner is more common, and educators encounter more difficulties in planning musical activities.
